Humber Recruitment are resourcing a Production Operative for our client based in Grimsby.

 

About the Job

Production – assisting production to produce a range of products. Loading and operation of production machines. Stacking and palletising products. Ensure product specifications and quality are achieved. Maintain cleanliness of production area and machinery.

Warehouse – assist with general compliance tasks.

Performance Objectives

  1. Reduce downtime to maximise production run time.
  2. Maintain quality of finished product to a high standard.
  3. Keeping product changeover times to a minimum.
  4. Reduce reject rate to improve actual cost per roll produced.
  5. Organising and maintaining inventory and storage area.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Operating and cleaning of production machinery.
  2. Inform the Supervisor of faulty machinery or production issues.
  3. Adhering to relevant health and safety regulations.
  4. Ensure that any computerised or automated systems are accurate and up to date.
  5. Identify any systems improvements and make recommendations for change.
  6. Reporting any damaged or missing goods to the Warehouse Team Leader.
  7. Keeping the Production / Warehouse environment clean and tidy and maintaining equipment.
  8. Following workplace health and safety rules when handling goods.
  9. Ensuring efficient operations by adhering to operational procedures, rules, and schedules.
  10. As a HACCP Operator you will be responsible for maintaining product safety, quality, and legality through the requirements of the HACCP plan.
  11. Following orders from the Production supervisor and sales office requests and working to deadlines.
  12. Loading production machinery and maintaining throughput.
  13. Stacking, palletising and wrapping of produced products.
  14. Assist with general Warehouse operations and compliance tasks.

Operational Tasks

  1. Loading Production machinery with relevant components.
  2. Carrying out regular checks on products to ensure a high level of quality.
  3. Stacking, palletising and wrapping of produced product.
  4. Labelling pallets of product.
  5. Using the SafetyCulture system to record data from product checks.
  6. Keeping the production/stores area clean and tidy.
  7. Completing documentation/paperwork.
  8. Use of production equipment and machinery.
  9. Assisting Warehouse supervisor as required.
  10. All other associated duties as required.
  11. Support Customer Service and sales team in every way possible in delivering world-class customer experience.
