Humber Recruitment are proud be recruiting on behalf valued client for a Safety Facilitator, to be based in Immingham with occasional travel to Scunthorpe.

What you need to know about the role

Working as a Safety Facilitator you will be responsible for a full range of activities which help to ensure that we deliver products and services to our customers safely and on time.

You will assist the plant management team in the development and monitoring of a Safety Improvement Plan (SIP), with the creation and review of Risk Assessments and Safe Systems of Work and with the planning, development and delivery of training and competency requirements.

Conducting 1st party audits of the H&S management system and plant H&S inspections and encourage interdependent behaviours are crucial aspects of this role.

You will ensure all H&S adverse incidents are reported, investigated and the agreed preventative actions are tracked to closure. You will also assist the plant management team in the incident investigation process and communicate the findings of incidents through information / action alert bulletins to ensure sharing and learning across the business.

What we need to know about you

We are looking for someone who is passionate about Health and Safety and is willing to challenge people at all levels within the business to work towards and improve health and safety results.

You need to be someone who is extremely well organised and able to work under pressure, to tight timescales.

We’re looking for people with relevant vocational qualifications such as NEBOSH Certificate as a minimum. An outline knowledge of health and safety process and underpinning legislation applicable to manufacturing environments would be an advantage.

Communication is vital to the success of this role whether it be organising document control and retention or presenting relevant health and safety data to stakeholders.
