Humber Recruitment are resourcing two Transport Coordinators for a new client of ours based in Immingham.
Position Summary
As Transport Coordinator you will support the transport function of the business, with the coordination of import & export road shipments from start to finish, including quotation, ensuring that clients receive excellent customer service throughout all aspects of their enquiry. You will liaise with internal & external clients for all transport-related issues and bookings.
Compliance
Understands and complies conscientiously with company standards, guidelines and policies, including but not limited to QA, Health & Safety, Aviation Security, Compliance, HMRC Regulations etc.
You are required to operate within:
- Pentagon Freight Services QHSE, human resources and standard operating procedures
- Legal requirements including but not limited to dangerous goods, customs, quarantine and transport security
- Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance guidelines
- Customer’s policies and procedures
Quality, Health, Safety and Environment
- Report all hazards, near misses and events immediately
- Comply with the requirements of PFS QHSE Management System and assist the organisation on occasion in times of emergency.
- Maintain a high standard of work quality through accuracy and efficiency when completing tasks

Position Responsibilities
The Transport Coordinator is responsible and accountable for (but not limited to) the following:
- Provide competitive pricing and transport solutions to clients that meet their needs
- Ensuring that awarded jobs are processed and followed through to completion
- Provide proactive updates to clients, resolving any issues that may arise
- Billing clients as per working SOPs
- Producing and completing all necessary paperwork, such as pre-alerts, CMRs
- Liaising with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure the smooth running of transport service
- Ensure job files are processed and completed within the TMS
- Load planning for both domestic and international trailers
