Humber Recruitment are resourcing a Caretaker for a new client of ours based in Doncaster.

Hours – 6am to 9am then 3pm to 6pm – 30 hours per week

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in electrical and mechanical systems, with the ability to maintain and supervise various tasks effectively. This role requires excellent customer service skills, logical thinking, and the capability to interpret schematics. The Caretaker will play a vital role in ensuring that all facilities are well-maintained and operational, while also providing leadership and support to junior staff.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair electrical systems, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
• Operate and troubleshoot logic controllers as needed for various equipment.
• Supervise maintenance staff, providing guidance and support in daily tasks.
• Interpret schematics to assist in troubleshooting mechanical issues.
• Perform welding tasks as required for repairs or modifications.
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing concerns and inquiries promptly.
• Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify maintenance needs.
• Document maintenance activities and report on the status of repairs and improvements.

Requirements

• Hold a current Enhanced DBS Certificate
• Proven experience in electrical and mechanical maintenance.
• Strong understanding of logic controllers and schematics.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively in English.
• Leadership qualities with experience supervising a team preferred.
• The ability to perform welding tasks is advantageous but not essential.
• Strong problem-solving skills and logical thinking abilities.
• A proactive approach to maintaining a safe and organised working environment.
