Humber Recruitment are resourcing a skilled CNC Machinist for our Grimsby-based client.

The candidate must be competent in manufacturing complete parts from drawings mainly made of stainless steel and aluminium.

Requirements:

• To be thorough and pay attention to detail
• Ability to read and understand Mechanical Engineering drawings working to tolerances
• The ability to use and maintain machines and tools
• The ability to work on your own as well as part of the team
• Knowledge of manufacturing production and processes
• The ability to use a CNC machine, program, select and set the correct tools to produce the parts required.
• Completing given tasks safely and efficiently
• Ability to work to deadlines
• Interaction with other departments such as design, fitting, electrical etc.
• Maintaining a clean, organised, safe and productive work area

Skills, Experience, and Qualifications:

• A relevant mechanical Apprenticeship
• Experience programming, setting and operating CNC lathes and Manually setting and operating centre lathes
• Knowledge of other machinery would be an advantage
• To be able to communicate with other members of the workforce
• Visual inspection and working to tolerances
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment
• Ability to work with minimal supervision

The ideal candidate would be a time-served machinist with experience in CNC programming/operating and conventional Lathes and producing high-quality components from engineering drawings.
