Over recent months, Humber Recruitment has proudly partnered with the team at Horizon Youth Zone, supporting their recruitment efforts in the lead-up to their highly anticipated opening later this year.

This exciting collaboration has not only helped source passionate, driven professionals to join the Youth Zone’s growing team but has also laid the foundation for a strong relationship between our two organisations.

Currently under construction in central Grimsby, Horizon Youth Zone is a flagship project from OnSide, a national charity renowned for delivering high-quality Youth Zones across the UK. Purpose-built for young people aged 8 to 19, and up to 25 for those with additional needs, the new facility will offer an inspiring, inclusive and safe space designed to help young people reach their potential.

With over 20 activities available every day, ranging from sports, creative arts, drama and cooking to music and employability workshops, Horizon Youth Zone aims to be a vibrant hub of energy, creativity, and opportunity for Grimsby’s youth.

Earlier this week, our Recruitment Manager, Rachel Button, and Business Development Lead, Phil Hancock, visited the site to meet with members of the Horizon team and reconnect with Libby Turner and Deborah Toyne, two of the new recruits we proudly helped place in their roles as Business Administrator and Business Support Officer respectively.

Kyle Stealey, Head of HR & Operations at Horizon Youth Zone commented on the collaboration:

“As we work towards opening, our focus is on building a strong local team to fill the wide range of exciting employment opportunities we have on offer. Having excellent people to achieve our mission is essential to the success of Horizon Youth Zone and for the young people of North East Lincolnshire.

“I am grateful to the team at Humber Recruitment for their efforts in sourcing high-quality candidates, and we are delighted to welcome Libby and Deborah to the team.”

We’re also thrilled that fellow Poluma Group company, Allied Protek, is among the proud founding patrons of Horizon Youth Zone. Their backing highlights the shared commitment across the Group to investing in Grimsby’s future and supporting projects that make a genuine difference to the community.

As the Youth Zone prepares to open its doors this Autumn, we’re excited to continue supporting its mission and look forward to seeing the impact it will make on the lives of local young people.
