Development Engineer

Humber Recruitment are sourcing a Development Engineer for a client of ours on a hybrid basis based in Grimsby/Lincoln.

Our client is involved with the design and implementation of renewable energy generation (PV Solar, Wind Turbines and other forms of low carbon generation), battery storage systems, EV Charging, Energy and Carbon Trading.  This is a new UK company but is composed of an experienced, specialist team working in the global renewable energy industries.

The ideal candidate will work as a Development Engineer in the field of engineering software to support IOT, control systems, controller hardware build and test. You will be involved in the development of hardware and software to support the monitoring and control of renewable energy generation, battery storage and EV Charging.

The role will also involve research and development activities, as well as provided engineering technical supports on projects during design, commissioning and operation. In addition, the role will involve global travel.

About the Candidate

• The ideal candidate will have experience around robotics, control, electrical engineering or software development.
• The ideal candidate will hold a passion for technology and have some knowledge of software development, ie python coding as a hobby.
• The candidate will have two years of experience following their education
