Humber Recruitment are resourcing an Account Manager (Flow Control) for a brand-new client of ours based in Scunthorpe & South Yorkshire on a full-time basis.
Main accountabilities
This list is not exhaustive, and the post holder will be expected to undertake other duties as specified by their manager.

a) Zero lost time accidents – No dangerous occurrences b) Complete and record/report a minimum number of each, as set and agreed with line management, per year. c) Observe all H&S Regulations, including fire, security and local notifications. Report all accidents and incidents in line with company policies |

Qualifications
- Technical qualification (HNC or equivalent) preferred, but qualification by experience accepted
- Valid full EU driving license or equivalent
Experience (number of years, seniority level, nature)
- At least 3 years’ experience in technical support of refractory product categories, with a sales bias
- Good general knowledge of the iron and steel business and refractory competition
- Proficient in using ICT equipment and systems, particularly Microsoft Office programmes
Expertise areas
- Ability to meet new people, either in person or via telephone, and quickly establish rapport
- Ability to present technical issues both in 1:1 and many environments
- Team player; ability to effectively communicate and work together with people in a matrix environment, and ability to gain support from team members in other functions and departments
- Self-starter; able to work independently and provide supervision and guidance when required to more junior sales engineers
- Must be willing and able to travel with occasional nights away
