Humber Recruitment are currently resourcing a Temporary Business Support for a client of ours based in Grimsby for an initial 3-month period with a view to an extension.
Full Time
Mon-Thursday 8am – 4pm.
Friday 8am – 1:00pm.
Or would consider part time
Part Time
Mon-Thursday 9am – 3pm.
We’re looking for a reliable and organised Administrative Assistant to support our client’s operations. This role is suited to someone who enjoys keeping things running smoothly, takes pride in their work, and can manage a variety of administrative tasks with confidence. You’ll play an important role in supporting the team, handling communications, maintaining records, and supporting the MD in remaining efficient and well organised. There will also be opportunities during quieter periods to contribute to improving internal systems and processes within the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage incoming and outgoing communications via phone and email with a professional and friendly approach
- Organise and maintain accurate files, records, and databases using Microsoft Office and Quickbooks
- Carry out data entry tasks with a high level of accuracy
- Assist with scheduling appointments, meetings, and maintaining team calendars
- Prepare reports, presentations, and general documentation as needed
- Support invoicing, billing, and financial record-keeping
- Provide general administrative support including filing on SharePoint
- Respond promptly and courteously to internal and external enquiries
- Help maintain a tidy, organised, and efficient office environment
- Support the development of systems and processes to help streamline business operations and improve efficiency
About You
- Previous experience in an administrative or office-based role (preferred but not essential)
- Confident using Microsoft Office (Mail, Word, Excel, SharePoint)
- Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting software is an advantage
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Good attention to detail
- Clear and professional communication skills, both written and verbal
- Able to work independently as well as part of a team
- Experience within Health & Safety or Construction environments advantageous
