Humber Recruitment is thrilled to announce the appointment of Rachel Button as our new Recruitment Manager.
Rachel brings a wealth of experience in recruitment and training, having spent much of her career building and leading successful teams. Her strong background in client relations and management makes her a valuable addition to the Humber Recruitment team.
Over the past year, we’ve continued to expand our services and strengthen partnerships with our clients—a trend set to accelerate with the recent formation of the Poluma Group. To mark Rachel’s arrival, we sat down with her for a quick Q&A to learn more about her background, her start at the company, and her vision for the future.
Welcome Rachel! How have your first few days been, meeting the team and members of the wider Group?
Everyone has been so welcoming, and I’ve been genuinely impressed with both the team and the site. I’m excited to get started and be part of this exciting new phase of expansion. It’s a great time to join the team!
Tell us a bit about your career—has recruitment always been a focus?
I previously managed a small local recruitment company, which I built from the ground up. That journey led to national recognition when we were awarded by the Recruitment and Employment Confederation (REC) in London. Before this, I worked in employment and training for the local council and spent many years in customer experience roles. My passion has always been about helping people reach their potential, and recruitment is a perfect fit for that.
What excites you most about this new role? Do you have any plans for Humber Recruitment’s future?
I’m looking forward to supporting our talented team and driving business growth. With the recent acquisition and the wider expansion of the Group, there are so many new opportunities ahead. It’s an exciting time, and I’m ready to contribute to our next chapter.
And just for fun… if you could be any animal, what would it be?
Haha, great question! I’ve been on a few South African safaris, and I’d choose to be an elephant. They’re majestic, strong, and incredibly social animals. Elephants stay with their families, protect one another, and build deep lifelong bonds—values that are just as important in the workplace for building a successful team.
