Air Conditioning Engineer

Humber Recruitment are resourcing an Air Conditioning Engineer for a new client of ours based in Grimsby.

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Air Conditioning Engineer to join our client’s growing team. This role involves the installation, maintenance, and repair of a wide range of air conditioning systems across commercial and/or domestic sites. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HVAC and F-Gas certification and be confident working independently or as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

• Installation, servicing, and maintenance of air conditioning systems (split, multi-split, VRV/VRF systems, etc.)
• Fault finding and diagnostics on existing systems
• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
• Responding to reactive callouts in a timely and professional manner
• Ensuring all works are carried out in compliance with health and safety regulations
• Providing excellent customer service and representing the company positively on-site
• Completing all relevant documentation, reports, and job sheets accurately

Requirements

• City & Guilds Level 2 or 3 in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (or equivalent)
• F-Gas certification (Category 1 – essential)
• Proven experience in the installation and maintenance of air conditioning systems
• Full UK driving licence
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Good communication and interpersonal skills

Desirable

• Experience with commercial systems (VRV/VRF, chillers, etc.)
• Knowledge of electrical wiring or controls
• CSCS card or equivalent health & safety qualifications
