Humber Recruitment are resourcing a Children’s Home Manager for a client of ours based in Grimsby on a full-time basis.

 

Flexibility: Must be able to work evenings, weekends and on-call, as needed.

Location: Grimsby, North East Lincolnshire

Reporting to: Director of Operations

The Role

We’re looking for a passionate, experienced leader to take the reins of our client’s residential children’s home. This is a rare opportunity to bring vision, empathy, and excellence to everything you do.

As Residential Manager, you will:

  • Lead and inspire a dedicated care team
  • Ensure compliance with Ofsted standards
  • Champion safeguarding and person-centred care
  • Manage budgets, staffing, and day-to-day operations
  • Drive continuous improvement and professional development

What You Will Need

  • 4+ years supporting young people in residential care
  • 2+ years in a managerial or senior role
  • Level 5 Diploma in Residential Childcare or Health & Social Care, or a willingness to work towards
  • Full UK driving license and a willingness to travel
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
  • A genuine passion for empowering others and making a difference
  • Business awareness

Special Requirements

To comply with Ofsted regulations, the post holder must assume the role of Registered Manager and meet all relevant standards within an agreed timeframe.
