Commercial Electrician

Humber Recruitment are seeking a Commercial Electrician for a valued client based of ours working out of North Killingholme.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be working on commercial electrical installations and maintenance projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial electrical work, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship safely and efficiently.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial buildings
• Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and schematics to determine electrical layouts
• Install electrical components including switches, outlets, lighting systems, and circuit breakers
• Perform testing, inspection, and fault-finding on electrical systems
• Ensure all work is completed in full compliance with 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations (BS7671) and other relevant safety codes
• Collaborate with other trades and site professionals to ensure smooth project delivery
• Maintain accurate records of work carried out and materials used

Experience & Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a commercial electrician
• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent) – essential
• Gold JIB ECS Card – essential
• 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations (BS7671) – essential
• Proficient with electrical tools, testing equipment, and wiring methods
• Strong knowledge of current electrical standards and local regulations
• Excellent problem-solving and fault-finding abilities
• Able to work independently or as part of a team

Additional Requirements

• Driving licence – preferred
• Ability to commute to North Killingholme – required
• Ability to relocate prior to starting work – required
