Commissioning Engineer

Humber Recruitment are resourcing a Commissioning Engineer on a contract basis for Allied Protek to support site-based activities across a range of engineering and construction projects.

We are looking for a Commissioning Engineer to support site-based activities across a range of engineering and construction projects for Allied Protek. This is a hands-on role focused on testing, validation, and ensuring systems are installed and operating correctly.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out commissioning activities on systems, plant, and equipment
• Perform on-site testing, inspections, and fault finding
• Review technical documentation to understand system requirements
• Record test results and prepare basic reports
• Work closely with engineering teams, contractors, and site personnel
• Support troubleshooting and resolution of technical issues
• Ensure all work is carried out in line with safety and quality standards

Requirements

• Experience in commissioning, testing, or a similar engineering role
• Good understanding of mechanical, electrical, or process systems
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and documentation
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Good communication skills and ability to work on-site with teams
• Willingness to travel to various project sites as required

Additional Information

• Contract role
• Site-based, with travel to multiple locations depending on project needs, could include international travel at times.
• HQ – based in Grimsby.
• Rate is dependent on experience
