Humber Recruitment are resourcing a Junior Electrical Engineer for Allied Protek, a leading provider of engineering services and solutions across the UK, which is actively seeking to expand its current team.

Overview of the role

The successful candidate will be working within a small team of multi-disciplined engineers, software engineers and electrical designers, working on manufacturing and process projects throughout the UK, reporting to the lead engineers.

This is a full-time position, based at Allied Protek’s Grimsby offices with occasional travel.

Key responsibilities will include

• Creating/Reviewing machinery schematics with the assistance of the engineers (proficiency in AutoCAD or EPlan an advantage)
• Assist the electricians with queries on schematics
• Producing engineering documentation including reports, and technical documentation
• Meeting with customers to define their needs and requirements
• Assist the engineers in compiling budgets and quotations
• Collaborate with engineers to design new control systems and safety-related control systems
• Improvement of existing electrical process control and instrumentation systems
• Evaluating EC&I systems reliability and performance
• Assisting in commissioning and testing including prototypes for EC&I projects
• Conducting site visits and surveys

Personal qualities and qualifications

• Committed & enthusiastic
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• HNC or working towards HND qualified (or equivalent with relevant experience)
• UK driving licence
