Litigation Solicitor

Humber Recruitment are pleased to be resourcing a Litigation Solicitor for a new client of ours to be based in the Humber Region (Grimsby/Scunthorpe/Hull/Goole).

The Role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented and motivated Litigation Solicitor to join our client’s well-established legal team in the Humber region. The successful candidate will have at least 2 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) in litigation and will be able to manage a varied and interesting caseload. You will be involved in a range of litigation matters across multiple sectors, and will have the chance to work on both contentious and non-contentious cases.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a diverse caseload of civil and commercial litigation matters, including but not limited to contract disputes, property disputes, and debt recovery
• Provide high-quality legal advice to clients, both individuals and businesses, regarding their disputes
• Represent clients in court and at tribunals, including preparing and presenting legal arguments
• Draft legal documents including pleadings, statements of case, witness statements, and settlement agreements
• Work closely with senior members of the team, assisting with more complex matters and providing support on high-value claims
• Assist in the development of client relationships, including regular communication and updates
• Maintain excellent client service levels and strive to achieve the best possible outcomes for clients
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory and procedural requirements

Skills & Experience Required:

• Qualified Solicitor (2 years PQE) with experience in general litigation
• Strong knowledge of the civil litigation process, court procedure, and legal principles
• A proactive approach to case management and client service
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and drafting skills
• Ability to work efficiently, both independently and as part of a team
• A client-focused mindset with a strong commercial awareness
• Willingness to continue learning and developing expertise in litigation

Desirable:

• Experience in property litigation, contractual disputes, or debt recovery is highly advantageous
• Experience using case management software
