Humber Recruitment are seeking a Multi Functional Operative for our client in Immingham.
Hours – 4-On-4-Off – 2 Days – 2 Nights
The Role
The role of Multi Functional Operative will see you supporting the Shift Manager within a Port environment to achieve optimum levels of production, plant operational targets, product quality, customer service and health and safety objectives. You will be expected to participate and actively contribute in team activities utilising appropriate process, technical and engineering skills to achieve manufacturing, quality and service targets.
You will need to contribute to initiatives related to improving health and safety performance, taking an active part in risk assessment/hazard identification for all plant/operational activities and taking account of appropriate regulations.
What we need to know about you
We’re looking for someone with an understanding of health and safety and the importance it has in the working environment. You will need to be proactive, reliable and punctual with a keen eye for detail.
You should have the ability to undertake training to drive and operate mobile plants such as loading shovels, forklift trucks and capital plants, therefore it is a requirement that you hold a provisional driving licence as a minimum.
The role can be physically demanding and involves some climbing of stairs and cleaning of conveyor systems. You will also need to be flexible and able to work a variety of shift patterns to cover for holidays, sickness and unforeseen issues.
