Humber Recruitment are resourcing Scaffolders for a valued client of ours for a contract in Wrexham with an immediate start available.

 

Role Overview

We are seeking experienced and safety-conscious Scaffolders to join our client’s team within a busy food production facility in Wrexham and UK-based sites. The successful candidate will be responsible for erecting, modifying, and dismantling scaffolding systems to support maintenance, repair, and installation activities, while ensuring full compliance with health and safety regulations and food hygiene standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Erect, alter, and dismantle scaffolding structures safely and efficiently within the factory environment.
  • Carry out scaffolding works to enable access for engineering, maintenance, and construction activities.
  • Ensure scaffolding is erected in line with statutory requirements, industry best practice, and company procedures (e.g., NASC TG20).
  • Conduct pre-use inspections and complete relevant safety documentation.
  • Work closely with engineers, contractors, and maintenance teams to plan safe access solutions around production lines and equipment.
  • Maintain strict adherence to site-specific rules, particularly regarding food hygiene and contamination prevention.
  • Report hazards, defects, or unsafe practices to supervisors immediately.
  • Support in maintaining a clean and organised work area.

Skills & Experience

  • Valid CISRS Scaffolder Card (Part 1/2 or Advanced).
  • Demonstrable scaffolding experience, ideally in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety requirements (Working at Height, CDM, PPE, and permit-to-work systems).
  • Ability to read and interpret scaffolding drawings.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Flexible and adaptable, able to work around live production operations.

Desirable

  • Experience working in food production, FMCG, or other hygiene-critical environments.
  • IPAF or PASMA certification.
  • First Aid at Work qualification.
