Senior Accountant

Humber Recruitment are resourcing a Qualified or Part Qualified Accountant for a new client of ours based in Grimsby.

We have an excellent opening for a senior accountant to join our client’s team based out of their Grimsby offices.

A typical working day could include:

• Ownership and management of a portfolio of clients, predominantly owner-managed businesses.
• Client-facing role – being the main point of contact for these clients to resolve queries and assist with accounting matters.
• Accounts preparation for clients – planning, reviewing and finalisation. Working knowledge of FRS102 1A and FRS105 is desirable.
• Ad hoc bookkeeping including overview of VAT returns / payroll / management accounts / advising on cloud accounting systems such as Xero.
• Corporation tax and personal tax compliance and planning services and review of these returns/computations
• Assisting in the training/support of trainees
• Supporting the partners with more technical tasks

To be successful, you should be ACA or ACCA qualified with experience in practice. You must also possess the following skills:

• Able to work well in a team, assisting and developing trainees and reporting to the relevant partner.
• Able to work unaided to strict deadlines and understand commercial viability.
• Apply theory and practice and reach logical conclusions.
• Build constructive relationships with other team members.
