Humber Recruitment are resourcing a part-time SHEQ Advisor for one of our valued clients in Hull.
Our client requires a part-time SHEQ Advisor to support their existing team and facility, based on-site in Hull.
We are looking for an experienced ‘hands-on’ Safety, Health, Environment & Quality Advisor with a ‘can-do’ attitude. This is a fast-paced role in a growing business, requiring someone with a proactive mindset, flexible approach and an attention to detail. The successful candidate must be highly organised, reliable, and possess excellent communication & interpersonal skills.
Duties to include:
- Managing and maintaining the various reporting systems
- Compiling statistics for reports and presentations
- Completion of customer accreditation documentation
- Developing and writing internal health and safety procedures/documents, including safe operating procedures, toolbox talks, safety alerts and one-point lessons
- Be an active member of the team and be prepared to chair meetings when necessary
- Investigating/recording accidents of injury, near misses, environmental and cases of ill health
- Carrying out safety inductions and monitoring safety critical training requirements, advising and training staff on best work practices
- Monitoring environmental impacts, objectives & targets
- Conduct audits (ISO, internal site, customer site, operator)
- Supporting the implementation of the appropriate safe systems or work
- Liaising with relevant authorities where required
- Suggesting improvements to current working processes, driving continual improvements
- Lead external audits for the relevant locations
Person Specification
Essential
- Experience in a SHEQ-related role
- NEBOSH / equivalent qualification
- Well organised and able to manage own workload
- Excellent PC skills
- Experience with SHEQ reporting systems
- RCA / incident investigation
Desirable
- Auditing of ISO45001, ISO14001 & ISO9001
- IOSH Member
- Environmental qualification
