Humber Recruitment are resourcing a Warehouse Operative for our client based in Louth with an immediate start.

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Warehouse Operative to join our client’s team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for various tasks related to the shipping and receiving of goods, ensuring that all operations run smoothly and efficiently. This role requires a strong attention to detail, the ability to perform heavy lifting, and a solid understanding of warehouse management systems. You MUST have a Forklift licence and previous warehouse/driving experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform shipping and receiving duties, including loading and unloading goods from lorries
• Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently
• Handle materials with care, ensuring proper storage and organisation within the warehouse
• Conduct regular inventory checks and maintain accurate records using warehouse management systems
• Assist in equipment repair as needed, demonstrating mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot issues
• Follow health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of tasks

Experience

• Previous experience in a warehouse environment is preferred but not essential
• Familiarity with shipping and receiving processes is advantageous
• Basic maths skills are required for inventory management and record-keeping
• Experience in materials handling and heavy lifting is essential for this role
• Knowledge of equipment repair and mechanical systems is a plus

Licence/Certification

• Forklift Licence (required)
• CPCS (preferred)
