To help everyone get to know Phil better, we sat down with him for a quick Q&A session about his career journey, first impressions of Humber Recruitment, and his aspirations for the future.
Phil, you’ve been part of the Humber Recruitment team now for a few weeks, how have you found it so far?
Ever since starting with Humber Recruitment a few weeks ago, I have been fully welcomed into the team. From day one, everybody has been so friendly and supportive and I couldn’t have wished for anything more as a new starter. It certainly contributed to successfully bringing in new business from the start!
Tell us a bit about your career to date. Recruitment has played an incredibly large part of your career to date!
I first started recruiting back in 2011 and like most people, it’s something that I kind of fell into by chance. I have always been good at dealing with people and listening to the needs of clients, and it has really progressed from there. I enjoy learning and understanding businesses and how we can partner with them to assist with all their recruitment issues. Over the years I have had experience in numerous sectors such as industrial, logistics, and engineering, and this knowledge has enabled me to now focus fully on Business Development.
Within my working life, I’ve had many highs and this is another, I feel excited to have found a permanent home with Humber Recruitment and I am excited about what the future has to offer for us in 2025.
What attracted you to the role at Humber Recruitment?
I am obviously familiar with Humber Recruitment as a well-regarded company in Grimsby, so when I saw they had an opportunity on the website I jumped at the chance and was fortunate enough to be invited to meet the team and discuss the opportunity with them. By the end of that day, I was delighted to be offered the role, and the rest, as they say, is history.
As we head into 2025, have you set yourself any objectives in line with Humber Recruitment?
For 2025, my main objectives will be to continue to build on the success of Humber Recruitment. I am dedicated to assisting new businesses with their recruitment needs and Im excited about the future.
We aim to be the recruitment partner of choice and I am committed to achieving this. I want to be intrinsic in developing Humber Recruitment to be the go-to recruitment partner for businesses, not just in Grimsby and the surrounding areas, but nationwide. It’s not just about creating new partnerships, Humber Recruitment has a fantastic reputation for long-lasting relationships with their clients and that’s something we want to continue providing.
And finally, just for a bit of fun…If you could be any animal, what animal would you be?
Well, it’s got to be a Lion! I am proud of what I do and love to be part of a strong team.
