Conveyancing & Private Client Solicitor

Humber Recruitment are currently resourcing a Conveyancing & Private Client Solicitor for a new client of ours on a fixed-term basis for 9-12 months with a view to being made permanent.

Location: Grimsby (Office-Based)
Salary: Competitive (dependent on experience)
Job Type: Temporary (9-12 months) – View to permanent

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm (1-hour lunch) – Part-time hours considered

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Conveyancing & Private Client Solicitor to join an established legal practice on a fixed-term basis. This is a key role within the firm, offering the opportunity to lead the conveyancing department while managing a varied caseload and supporting junior team members.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as Head of Conveyancing for CQS purposes
• Manage a full caseload, including:
  • Sales and purchases
  • Remortgages
  • Transfers of equity
• Advise on private client matters, including:
  • Wills
  • Probate
  • Trusts and estate planning
• Supervise and mentor junior staff
• Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
• Maintain accurate case files and documentation
• Contribute to business development and internal procedures
• Oversee quality assurance and maintain CQS accreditation and lender panel memberships

About You

• Qualified Solicitor (minimum 3 years PQE) in England & Wales
• Strong experience in conveyancing (residential and commercial) and private client work
• Excellent organisational and time management skills
• Confident in managing multiple cases simultaneously
• Proficient in legal IT systems and case management software
• Strong communication and client care skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
