Humber Recruitment are resourcing two Mobile Elevating Work Platform (MEWP) Operatives for a brand new client of ours based in Immingham on a short-term basis.

MEWP Operative / Roller Shutter Door Maintenance

Location: Immingham, North Lincolnshire
Duration: Approximately 1 month
Start: Approximately 1 week from confirmation
Positions: 2

The Role

We are currently looking for 2 experienced operatives to support a local project in Immingham for approximately one month.

The work will involve maintenance and remedial works to roller shutter doors, primarily working from a Mobile Elevating Work Platform (MEWP).

Candidates with a mechanical, structural, engineering or maintenance background would be preferred, although relevant practical experience will be considered.

Key Responsibilities

• Carrying out maintenance and remedial works to roller shutter doors
• Working safely from a MEWP at height
• Assisting with mechanical/structural maintenance and repairs
• Using basic hand and power tools
• Following site health & safety procedures
• Working as part of a small team to complete works safely and efficiently
• Reporting any defects, issues or additional works required

Requirements

• Valid MEWP certification relevant to the equipment being used
• Previous MEWP operating experience
• Previous experience working at height
• Mechanical, structural, engineering or general maintenance experience preferred
• Comfortable using hand and power tools
• Good understanding of site health & safety requirements
• Reliable and able to commit to the duration of the project
• Able to work as part of a team

Desirable

• Experience with roller shutter doors, industrial doors or similar equipment
• Previous industrial, commercial or construction site experience
• Relevant additional site qualifications/cards

Please note: Candidates must be able to provide evidence of their MEWP certification and relevant experience prior to starting.
