Humber Recruitment are seeking a skilled TIG Welder with expertise in pipework and box section to join our client’s team in Hull.

The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating and welding high-quality pipework systems for applications used in the food processing industry. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of welding techniques, materials and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints to determine project specifications
• Fabricate and assemble pipework systems using TIG welding techniques
• Ensure high-quality welds by monitoring welding parameters and inspecting completed welds
• Perform preventative maintenance on welding equipment to ensure optimal performance and uptime
• Collaborate with other members of the team to identify and solve welding-related issues
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a TIG welding
• Strong understanding of welding techniques, materials and quality standards
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
• Familiarity with welding equipment and tools
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a physically demanding environment and lift heavy objects
